He had been able to clear Sophocles's trial easily enough, but his attempt at Acerola's trial was... interesting, to say the least. In the region of Alola, there is a tradition that has been upheld for many generations which serves as a rite of passage for all up and coming Pokémon Trainers. When a boy or girl reaches a certain age, they may attempt the island challenge, travelling across the four islands of Alola, overcoming a series of trials presented by the captains of each island, and finally challenging the Kahuna of the island to a battle.
